The blockchain <a href=\"https:\/\/livenet.xrpl.org\/ledgers\/93927175\">restarted<\/a> after 64 minutes.<\/p>\n<blockquote class=\"wp-block-quote is-layout-flow wp-block-quote-is-layout-flow\">\n<p>&#8220;It seemed like consensus was functioning, but validations were not being published. This led to the network drifting apart,&#8221; explained Schwartz.<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n<p>Validator operators had to manually intervene to &#8220;choose a sensible starting point&#8221; to achieve sufficient consensus and coordinated ledger flow, he added.<\/p>\n<blockquote class=\"wp-block-quote is-layout-flow wp-block-quote-is-layout-flow\">\n<p>&#8220;As far as I can tell, very few <span data-descr=\"list of trusted nodes participating in the consensus process\" class=\"old_tooltip\">UNL<\/span> operators made any changes. The network may have spontaneously recovered. Not sure yet,&#8221; noted Schwartz.<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n<p>According to him, all conclusions are &#8220;very preliminary,&#8221; and developers continue to investigate.<\/p>\n<p>Ripple <a href=\"https:\/\/x.com\/RippleXDev\/status\/1886921699247186044\">emphasized<\/a> that the incident did not affect the security of users&#8217; funds.<\/p>\n<p>CEO of the XRPL division, Daniel Keller, noted at the beginning of the outage that all &#8220;35 nodes continue to propose.&#8221; The quorum threshold is 80% \u2014 28 nodes.<\/p>\n<blockquote class=\"twitter-tweet\" data-conversation=\"none\" data-lang=\"en\">\n<p lang=\"en\" dir=\"ltr\">They are still on it. For instance, Ethereum&#8217;s operation is <a href=\"https:\/\/beaconcha.in\/charts\/validators\">supported<\/a> by over 1 million validators.<\/p>\n<p>Following the network halt, the price of XRP fell to $2.45. Subsequently, the quotes recovered to around $2.50.
