(@avalonfinance_) <a href=\"https:\/\/twitter.com\/avalonfinance_\/status\/1889570340311073019?ref_src=twsrc%5Etfw\">February 12, 2025<\/a><\/p><\/blockquote>\n<p> <script async src=\"https:\/\/platform.twitter.com\/widgets.js\" charset=\"utf-8\"><\/script><\/p>\n<p>The organization aims to increase the accessibility of financial products based on the first cryptocurrency in compliance with regulatory requirements.<\/p>\n<p>Registering the exchange-traded fund will allow the expansion of Bitcoin lending business into <span data-descr=\"traditional finance\" class=\"old_tooltip\">TradFi<\/span> through regulated structures.<\/p>\n<p>To implement the initiative, Avalon Labs will engage leading law firms. They will assist in evaluating the regulatory framework of the proposed instrument and preparing the necessary materials for the application.<\/p>\n<p>The ETF is expected to be structured to meet the criteria for exemption from Regulation A+ in the <a href=\"https:\/\/en.wikipedia.org\/wiki\/Securities_Act_of_1933\">Securities Act of 1933<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>Upon registration, retail investors will gain access to Bitcoin-backed financial products within a familiar structure.<\/p>\n<blockquote class=\"wp-block-quote is-layout-flow wp-block-quote-is-layout-flow\">\n<p><em>\u201cWhile successful precedents in the crypto industry are limited, our analysis of previous SEC-approved cases points to a viable path forward. The agency&#8217;s role is to protect ordinary investors and ensure fairness, not to hinder technological progress,\u201d<\/em> commented Avalon Labs co-founder Venus Lee.<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>XRP-ETF<\/strong><\/h2>\n<p>On February 13, the SEC may consider Grayscale&#8217;s application for a spot XRP-ETF, according to FOX Business journalist Eleanor Terrett.<\/p>\n<blockquote class=\"twitter-tweet\">\n<p lang=\"en\" dir=\"ltr\">As per this very helpful table from <a href=\"https:\/\/twitter.com\/JSeyff?ref_src=twsrc%5Etfw\">@JSeyff<\/a> and <a href=\"https:\/\/twitter.com\/EricBalchunas?ref_src=twsrc%5Etfw\">@EricBalchunas<\/a>, we could see the <a href=\"https:\/\/twitter.com\/SECGov?ref_src=twsrc%5Etfw\">@SECGov<\/a> acknowledge <a href=\"https:\/\/twitter.com\/Grayscale?ref_src=twsrc%5Etfw\">@Grayscale<\/a>\u2019s <a href=\"https:\/\/twitter.com\/search?q=%24XRP&#038;src=ctag&#038;ref_src=twsrc%5Etfw\">$XRP<\/a> spot ETF filing as early as Thursday (2\/13), if indeed it chooses to acknowledge it. The SEC usually has around 15 days to acknowledge a 19b-4 filing and\u2026 <a href=\"https:\/\/t.co\/cN9skLUSHq\">https:\/\/t.co\/cN9skLUSHq<\/a><\/p>\n<p>\u2014 Eleanor Terrett (@EleanorTerrett) <a href=\"https:\/\/twitter.com\/EleanorTerrett\/status\/1889379576993690038?ref_src=twsrc%5Etfw\">February 11, 2025<\/a><\/p><\/blockquote>\n<p> <script async src=\"https:\/\/platform.twitter.com\/widgets.js\" charset=\"utf-8\"><\/script><\/p>\n<p>Terrett responded to Bloomberg analysts&#8217; opinions regarding the prospects for approval of exchange-traded funds based on Litecoin, Solana, Dogecoin, and XRP.  <\/p>\n<p>Experts suggested that 19b-4 applications for the latter two assets will be considered this week (the first two have already been implemented).<\/p>\n<blockquote class=\"wp-block-quote is-layout-flow wp-block-quote-is-layout-flow\">\n<p><em>\u201cThe SEC usually has about 15 days to confirm, and Grayscale submitted its proposal for conversion on January 30. In any case, this should give us a good idea of how <\/em><a href=\"https:\/\/forklog.com\/en\/news\/gary-genslers-departure-a-retrospective-on-the-sec-chairs-tenure\"><em>the current Commission<\/em><\/a><em> views XRP,\u201d<\/em> commented the journalist.<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n<p>Bloomberg estimated the likelihood of approval for ETFs based on all the mentioned altcoins at 65-90%. The final deadline for document review will be in October.<\/p>\n<p>Previously, NYSE Arca <a href=\"https:\/\/www.nyse.com\/publicdocs\/nyse\/markets\/nyse-arca\/rule-filings\/filings\/2025\/SR-NYSEArca-2025-12.pdf\">filed an application<\/a> in form 19b-4 to convert Grayscale Cardano Trust into an ETF.<\/p>\n<p>Back in January, Avalon Labs introduced the governance token AVL. 20% of the total supply of the asset<a href=\"https:\/\/forklog.com\/en\/news\/avalon-labs-a-btcfi-protocol-unveils-token-and-airdrop\"> is intended<\/a> for user rewards.<\/p>\n<p>Forbes author Lior Shimron <a href=\"https:\/\/forklog.com\/en\/news\/forbes-predicts-the-future-of-cryptocurrency-by-2025\">predicted<\/a> \u201cexponential growth\u201d of Bitcoin-DeFi in 2025. <a href=\"https:\/\/forklog.com\/en\/news\/crypto-executives-share-2025-predictions\">A similar opinion<\/a> was expressed by Michael Harvey from Galaxy Digital. <\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>The Bitcoin-based DeFi project Avalon Labs is considering filing an application with the SEC to create the industry&#8217;s first ETF backed by digital gold debt.
