This was reported by <a href=\"https:\/\/www.lanacion.com.ar\/politica\/escandalo-cripto-el-creador-de-libra-alardeaba-controlar-a-javier-milei-y-de-haber-pagado-sobornos-nid18022025\/\">LA NACION<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>Journalists referred to screenshots of correspondence that came into their possession. However, they acknowledged there is no objective confirmation of the claims contained therein.<\/p>\n<p>On December 11, Davis wrote to the head of a crypto investment company from which he expected funding for the coin&#8217;s launch:<\/p>\n<blockquote class=\"wp-block-quote is-layout-flow wp-block-quote-is-layout-flow\">\n<p>&#8220;Great, we can also get Milei to tweet, hold personal meetings, and engage in promotion. I&#8217;ve got him on the hook.&#8221;<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n<p>The interlocutor called this &#8220;madness,&#8221; and the head of Kelsier added:<\/p>\n<blockquote class=\"wp-block-quote is-layout-flow wp-block-quote-is-layout-flow\">\n<p>&#8220;I send money to his sister, and he signs what I say and does what I want.&#8221;<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n<p>The firm allegedly rejected the offer to support the meme coin project.<\/p>\n<p>Davis refused to communicate directly with the publication. His representative responded that the entrepreneur &#8220;does not remember&#8221; such correspondence and &#8220;cannot find it on his phone.&#8221;<\/p>\n<blockquote class=\"wp-block-quote is-layout-flow wp-block-quote-is-layout-flow\">\n<p>&#8220;Reports that I paid Javier or Karina Milei for the launch of the LIBRA meme coin are false. I never did that, and they never asked me for anything,&#8221; he quoted Davis.<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n<p>Investors behind the coin&#8217;s launch admitted in correspondence that the head of Kelsier &#8220;got out of control.&#8221; One of the interlocutors called him &#8220;crazy and greedy.&#8221;<\/p>\n<blockquote class=\"wp-block-quote is-layout-flow wp-block-quote-is-layout-flow\">\n<p>&#8220;He just felt like he had discovered the formula for printing money. Kind of did,&#8221; added the investor.<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n<p>According to <a href=\"https:\/\/www.lanacion.com.ar\/politica\/hayden-davis-el-cerebro-detras-de-libra-mantiene-el-contacto-abierto-con-el-gobierno-de-milei-nid18022025\/\">LA NACION<\/a>, Davis maintained relations with Milei&#8217;s entourage to develop a strategy for resolving the scandal. Communication continued even after the Argentine president&#8217;s interview published on Monday.<\/p>\n<p>The head of state stated that he published a tweet in support of LIBRA a few minutes after the token&#8217;s launch. According to journalists, both events occurred simultaneously.<\/p>\n<p>Milei also noted that he should establish &#8220;stricter filters for communication.&#8221; The publication considered this an acknowledgment of a personal meeting with Davis, whom the head of state blamed for LIBRA&#8217;s collapse.<\/p>\n<p>The CEO of Kelsier was allegedly prohibited from communicating with the press, promising not to prosecute him for offenses in Argentina.<\/p>\n<p>According to Stream Finance co-founder Diogenes Casares, at least one person in Milei&#8217;s entourage received a $5 million bribe for arranging a meeting with the president.<\/p>\n<blockquote class=\"wp-block-quote is-layout-flow wp-block-quote-is-layout-flow\">\n<p>&#8220;For clarity: this does not mean that Milei received money for promoting the token, rather, it was someone close to him,&#8221; he explained.<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n<p>Casares emphasized that the high standing and confirmed reliability of his source warrant serious consideration of the claims.<\/p>\n<p>Previously, Cardano founder Charles Hoskinson publicly stated that he was asked to pay for a personal meeting with the President of Argentina.
