The regulator does not plan to file any charges.<\/p>\n<blockquote class=\"twitter-tweet\">\n<p lang=\"en\" dir=\"ltr\">In April, the SEC issued a Wells notice claiming that Uniswap Labs operated as an unregistered broker, operated an exchange, and issued an unregistered security<\/p>\n<p>As of yesterday, that investigation has officially been closed, and the SEC is taking no enforcement action<\/p>\n<p>This is a\u2026<\/p>\n<p>\u2014 Uniswap Labs ? The SEC alleged that the DEX Uniswap was operating as an unregistered securities exchange and broker-dealer without a license. <\/p>\n<p>In response, the company <a href=\"https:\/\/forklog.com\/en\/news\/uniswap-labs-urges-sec-to-reconsider-potential-lawsuit\">described<\/a> the SEC&#8217;s legal reasoning as weak and expressed readiness for a legal battle.<\/p>\n<blockquote class=\"wp-block-quote is-layout-flow wp-block-quote-is-layout-flow\">\n<p><em>&#8220;This is a huge achievement for <\/em><em>DeFi<\/em><em>. This outcome confirms that our technology complies with the law and that our work has long-term value,&#8221; commented Uniswap representatives on the case closure.<\/em><\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n<p>Earlier this month, the SEC concluded its pursuit of <a href=\"https:\/\/forklog.com\/en\/news\/sec-drops-investigation-into-robinhoods-crypto-division\">Robinhood<\/a> and preliminarily halted legal proceedings against <a href=\"https:\/\/forklog.com\/en\/news\/sec-commissioners-to-vote-on-dismissing-case-against-coinbase\">Coinbase<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>The Commission, along with Binance, also <a href=\"https:\/\/forklog.com\/en\/news\/binance-and-sec-seek-court-approval-to-pause-proceedings\">requested<\/a> the court to suspend proceedings initiated in June 2023.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>The team at Uniswap Labs has announced that the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) has concluded its investigation into the company.
