Allaire emphasized that rules should be uniform for all market participants.<\/p>\n<blockquote class=\"wp-block-quote is-layout-flow wp-block-quote-is-layout-flow\">\n<p><em>\u201cThis is about consumer protection and financial integrity. [\u2026] The stablecoin bill is a top priority for the administration,\u201d Allaire explained.<\/em><\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n<p>On February 4, Senator Bill Hagerty <a href=\"https:\/\/www.lummis.senate.gov\/wp-content\/uploads\/GENIUS-Act_.pdf\">introduced<\/a> a proposal to establish a regulatory framework for stablecoin issuers.<\/p>\n<p>Circle&#8217;s Chief Strategy Officer and Head of Global Policy and Operations, Dante Disparte, supported Allaire&#8217;s comments. In a statement to <a href=\"https:\/\/www.coindesk.com\/policy\/2025\/02\/26\/circle-ceo-jeremy-allaire-wants-dollar-backed-stablecoins-to-register-in-u-s-bloomberg\">CoinDesk<\/a>, he stressed that \u201cno company issuing dollar stablecoins should receive a free pass from rules of safety, soundness, and appropriate government oversight.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Back in July 2024, Circle <a href=\"https:\/\/forklog.com\/en\/news\/circle-secures-first-mica-compliant-stablecoin-license\">obtained the right<\/a> to issue stablecoins in the European Economic Area under MiCA regulations.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Jeremy Allaire, founder and CEO of Circle, stated in an interview with Bloomberg the necessity for mandatory registration of dollar stablecoin issuers in the United States.
