This was reported in a blog by the law firm <a href=\"https:\/\/www.gerbenlaw.com\/blog\/trump-organization-moves-to-trademark-trump-for-virtual-world-and-digital-goods\/\">Gerben IP<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>The document covers a wide range of product and service categories intended for the proposed platform.<\/p>\n<p>The platform will offer the ability to purchase virtual clothing and other goods, spaces for educational activities such as business training, and its own NFT marketplace.<\/p>\n<p>Only content approved by Trump will be available on the platform. This restriction also applies to non-fungible tokens.<\/p>\n<p>Josh Gerben of Gerben IP called the situation ironic, as the Trump Organization is asking patent office officials to review their application while the president&#8217;s administration pressures these individuals and threatens them with dismissal.<\/p>\n<p>At the time of writing, the application is pending review.<\/p>\n<p>Back in November, Trump <a href=\"https:\/\/forklog.com\/en\/news\/trump-attributes-bitcoin-highs-to-his-policies\">linked<\/a> Bitcoin&#8217;s achievement of an all-time high to his policies.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Donald Trump&#8217;s Trump Organization has filed an application to trademark TRUMP for a planned metaverse dedicated to the former U.S. president.
