{"id":21695,"date":"2025-03-03T16:22:00","date_gmt":"2025-03-03T14:22:00","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/forklog.com\/en\/binance-to-delist-usdt-and-other-non-mica-compliant-stablecoins\/"},"modified":"2025-03-03T16:22:00","modified_gmt":"2025-03-03T14:22:00","slug":"binance-to-delist-usdt-and-other-non-mica-compliant-stablecoins","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/forklog.com\/en\/binance-to-delist-usdt-and-other-non-mica-compliant-stablecoins\/","title":{"rendered":"Binance to Delist USDT and Other Non-MiCA Compliant Stablecoins"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Binance <a href=\"https:\/\/www.binance.com\/en\/support\/announcement\/detail\/bcaa1f68d6a6450099056ff694ad6c46\">will cease support<\/a> for nine stablecoins within the European Economic Area (EEA) due to the need to comply with MiCA regulations.<\/p>\n<p>On March 31, the platform will delist spot pairs with the following stablecoins:<\/p>\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>USDT;\u00a0<\/li>\n<li>DAI;<\/li>\n<li>TUSD;\u00a0<\/li>\n<li>USDP;<\/li>\n<li>FDUSD;\u00a0<\/li>\n<li>AEUR;<\/li>\n<li>UST;<\/li>\n<li>USTC;\u00a0<\/li>\n<li>PAXG.\u00a0<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>However, storage, deposits, withdrawals, and conversion of these coins will remain available, a Binance representative told <a href=\"https:\/\/cointelegraph.com\/news\/binance-delist-non-mica-stablecoins-eea-march-31\">Cointelegraph<\/a>.<\/p>\n<blockquote class=\"wp-block-quote is-layout-flow wp-block-quote-is-layout-flow\">\n<p><em>\u201cHowever, [users] will not be able to use these stablecoins for any other products and services on our platform,\u201d he added.<\/em><\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n<p>The Binance team advises EEA users to convert non-compliant stablecoins into compatible alternatives like USDC or EURI or to withdraw them into fiat.<\/p>\n<p>The delisting follows a <a href=\"https:\/\/www.esma.europa.eu\/sites\/default\/files\/2025-01\/ESMA75-223375936-6099_Statement_on_stablecoins.pdf\">recommendation<\/a> from the European Securities and Markets Authority. In January, the regulator stated that crypto assets not compliant with MiCA should be removed from the market by March 31.<\/p>\n<p>As of February, <a href=\"https:\/\/forklog.com\/en\/news\/ten-stablecoin-issuers-secure-mica-licenses\">ten companies have received approval to issue stablecoins in the EEA<\/a>, including Circle, Crypto.com, and Societe Generale.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Binance will cease support for nine stablecoins within the European Economic Area (EEA) due to the need to comply with MiCA regulations.
