The footage shows the assailants following her to another part of the house.<\/p>\n<p>Seconds later, three gunshots are heard, after which the robbers flee. Amouranth stated she managed to shoot one of the attackers.<\/p>\n<p>The attack is believed to be linked to the increasing number of &#8220;crypto wrench&#8221; attacks\u2014physical coercion to transfer digital assets.<\/p>\n<p>A Cointelegraph employee known as Dr. Anon <a href=\"https:\/\/cointelegraph.com\/magazine\/security-experts-reveal-how-keep-crypto-safe\/\">noted<\/a> that such crimes are orchestrated by organized and professional groups. To minimize risks, he advises keeping a &#8220;decoy&#8221; wallet with a small amount.<\/p>\n<p>Back in July 2024, in Kyiv, <a href=\"https:\/\/forklog.com\/en\/news\/foreign-national-murdered-in-kyiv-over-bitcoin\">a foreign national was killed<\/a> in an attempt to seize his digital currency worth over $170,000.<\/p>\n<p>On January 21, 2025, unknown individuals kidnapped Ledger co-founder David Balland and his wife.
