The pro-Palestinian hacker group Dark Storm Team has claimed responsibility for the large-scale disruption on the social network X that occurred on March 10.<\/p>\n

The cybersecurity project SpyoSecure reported that the distributed denial-of-service (DDoS<\/span>) attack was confirmed on Telegram by the leader of Dark Storm. The hackers posted a screenshot showing the lack of access to the social network from various parts of the world.<\/p>\n

\u201cTwitter is down by the Dark Storm team,\u201d their post stated.<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n

According to the service Downdetector<\/a>, numerous outages on X were recorded over several hours.<\/p>\n

Co-founder of the media project KrassenCast, Ed Krassenstein, published his correspondence with the head of the hacker group. The latter cited the reason for the attack as a \u201cshow of strength\u201d without any political motives.<\/p>\n

\u201cEven more interestingly, Dark Storm also revealed to me their next target: private bank wallet apps SEDAD Wallet and GBM Banque,\u201d the expert noted.<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n

The hackers allegedly considered the financial institutions’ claims that these services are \u201cunstoppable\u201d as a \u201cdirect challenge.\u201d<\/p>\n

The owner of X, Elon Musk, confirmed<\/a> the large-scale attack on the platform.<\/p>\n

\u201cWe are attacked every day, but this was done with a large amount of resources. Either a large, coordinated group and\/or a country is involved,\u201d the entrepreneur wrote.<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n

In an interview<\/a> with Fox Business, Musk stated that preliminary data indicated IP addresses from Ukraine were involved in the attempt to disable the social network.<\/p>\n

The Dark Storm group was founded in 2023 and is known for its attacks on organizations and countries supporting Israel.<\/p>\n
