Journalist Colin Wu was the first to report this.<\/p>\n<blockquote class=\"twitter-tweet\">\n<p lang=\"en\" dir=\"ltr\">DB claims that its Twitter account was hacked, leading to the posting of fake news. Earlier, it had reported that the Trump Meme token would have real utility, but the post was later deleted. <a href=\"https:\/\/t.co\/e6XCTdWYrZ\">https:\/\/t.co\/e6XCTdWYrZ<\/a><\/p>\n<p>\u2014 Wu Blockchain (@WuBlockchain) <a href=\"https:\/\/twitter.com\/WuBlockchain\/status\/1900059377580777884?ref_src=twsrc%5Etfw\">March 13, 2025<\/a><\/p><\/blockquote>\n<p> <script async src=\"https:\/\/platform.twitter.com\/widgets.js\" charset=\"utf-8\"><\/script><\/p>\n<p>The perpetrators published news claiming that the official token of U.S. President Donald Trump would supposedly &#8220;have real value,&#8221; and that BlackRock had filed for an ETF based on Hyperliquid.<\/p>\n<p>Later, the DB News team deleted the post and stated they were not responsible for the false information.<\/p>\n<blockquote class=\"twitter-tweet\">\n<p lang=\"en\" dir=\"ltr\">No connected apps<br \/>Nothing in access history\/sessions<br \/>No delegated accounts<br \/>Not API key leak (no API post quota used)<br \/>Physical Yubikey 2FA enabled<br \/>Did not take the Bloomberg interview<\/p>\n<p>Assuming a compromised X employee or similar, all keys and sessions have been reset regardless.<\/p>\n<p>\u2014 db (@tier10k) <a href=\"https:\/\/twitter.com\/tier10k\/status\/1900077780370423985?ref_src=twsrc%5Etfw\">March 13, 2025<\/a><\/p><\/blockquote>\n<p> <script async src=\"https:\/\/platform.twitter.com\/widgets.js\" charset=\"utf-8\"><\/script><\/p>\n<p>Representatives of the aggregator stated that an <span data-descr=\"application programming interface\" class=\"old_tooltip\">API<\/span> key leak was ruled out and the company has two-factor authentication enabled via a physical key. The platform suspects the hack may have been orchestrated by an X employee. To enhance security, DB News reset all keys and sessions.<\/p>\n<p>Following the hack, an unknown user created a new wallet and <a href=\"https:\/\/solscan.io\/account\/FerQGtB4REKbbX9fjT7zki8zkZbLXUBoTP29Ri6gXrnu#transfers\">purchased<\/a> TRUMP for 504,820 USDC.
