This is to address the recent coordinated attacks by media along with unsuccessful efforts by Lazarus group to misuse our DeFi\u2026 <a href=\"https:\/\/t.co\/r6oHNIaalT\">pic.twitter.com\/r6oHNIaalT<\/a><\/p>\n<p>\u2014 OKX (@okx) <a href=\"https:\/\/twitter.com\/okx\/status\/1901457210968023046?ref_src=twsrc%5Etfw\">March 17, 2025<\/a><\/p><\/blockquote>\n<p> <script async src=\"https:\/\/platform.twitter.com\/widgets.js\" charset=\"utf-8\"><\/script><\/p>\n<p>The company stated that the decision was made after consultations with regulators.<\/p>\n<blockquote class=\"wp-block-quote is-layout-flow wp-block-quote-is-layout-flow\">\n<p><em>&#8220;Recently, we discovered coordinated efforts by the Lazarus group to abuse our <\/em><em>DeFi<\/em><em> services,&#8221; OKX explained.<\/em><\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n<p>The DEX aggregator has been disabled for internal checks and updates, according to the exchange&#8217;s technical support. The platform has not specified when services will resume.  <\/p>\n<p>OKX cryptocurrency wallets will continue to operate normally. However, the creation of new addresses has been temporarily suspended in some countries.<\/p>\n<p>Earlier, EU financial regulators <a href=\"https:\/\/forklog.com\/en\/news\/bloomberg-eu-regulators-investigate-okx-over-bybit-hackers-activities\">launched an investigation<\/a> into the OKX Web3 platform, which provides access to the DEX aggregator and non-custodial wallet. According to Bloomberg, the platform was allegedly used for laundering <a href=\"https:\/\/forklog.com\/en\/news\/bybit-exchange-suffers-1-46-billion-loss-in-hack\">assets stolen from Bybit<\/a>.<\/p>\n<blockquote class=\"wp-block-quote is-layout-flow wp-block-quote-is-layout-flow\">\n<p>&#8220;In recent days, we have faced targeted media attacks questioning our integrity and operations,&#8221; the company stated in its <a href=\"https:\/\/www.okx.com\/ru\/learn\/dex-aggregator-service-update\">blog<\/a>.<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n<p>OKX CEO Star Xu revealed that the exchange has already implemented a system for real-time tracking and blocking of hacker addresses, and has restricted access to the aggregator from certain regions.<\/p>\n<blockquote class=\"twitter-tweet\">\n<p lang=\"en\" dir=\"ltr\">We already rolled out a lot of controls for OKX Web3 to fight with the misuse including prohibited markets&#8217; ip blocking and real-time black address detection and blocking system.
