Here\u2019s what we\u2019ve uncovered ? <a href=\"https:\/\/t.co\/m28einnisn\">pic.twitter.com\/m28einnisn<\/a><\/p>\n<p>\u2014 Global Ledger (@GlobalLedger) <a href=\"https:\/\/twitter.com\/GlobalLedger\/status\/1902411970306781541?ref_src=twsrc%5Etfw\">March 19, 2025<\/a><\/p><\/blockquote>\n<p> <script async src=\"https:\/\/platform.twitter.com\/widgets.js\" charset=\"utf-8\"><\/script><\/p>\n<p>In 2022, the U.S. Treasury&#8217;s Office of Foreign Assets Control imposed restrictions on Garantex due to illegal activities.<\/p>\n<p>In March 2025, the agency blocked the exchange&#8217;s domains and <a href=\"https:\/\/forklog.com\/en\/news\/us-justice-department-reports-on-garantex-domain-seizure\">froze $26 million<\/a> in its wallets. The statement indicated that the trading platform facilitated money laundering by transnational criminal organizations, including terrorist groups, and violated international sanctions.<\/p>\n<p>Authorities also charged Garantex administrators, Russian Alexander Mir Serde and Lithuanian citizen Alexey Beschekov. The latter was <a href=\"https:\/\/forklog.com\/en\/news\/alleged-garantex-administrator-arrested-in-india\">arrested in India<\/a> at the request of the United States.<\/p>\n<p>According to Global Ledger&#8217;s investigation, Grinex emerged as a &#8220;direct continuation&#8221; of Garantex following its collapse. The company&#8217;s experts discovered that user balances are being massively transferred to the new platform. As of March 19, transaction volumes reached $36 million, employing complex schemes to &#8220;cleanse&#8221; assets.<\/p>\n<p>The transfer of Garantex user funds was privately confirmed by a Grinex manager, who noted that clients personally visit the platform&#8217;s office. It positions itself as an international cryptocurrency exchange.
