In this instance, approximately $89,900 was intercepted in one account and about $111,500 in three others. The accounts were registered to Palestinians residing in Turkey.<\/p>\n<blockquote class=\"wp-block-quote is-layout-flow wp-block-quote-is-layout-flow\">\n<p>&#8220;Hamas is responsible for the deaths of many US and Israeli citizens, and we will use all legal tools at our disposal to stop their campaign of terror and murder,&#8221; stated Prosecutor Edward Martin.<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n<p>He assured the department&#8217;s determination to cut off the group&#8217;s funding and &#8220;find every cent&#8221; intended to support Hamas&#8217;s activities.<\/p>\n<p>In 2024, media <a href=\"https:\/\/forklog.com\/en\/news\/us-investigates-165-million-in-crypto-transactions-linked-to-hamas\">reported<\/a> that the <span data-descr=\"Financial Crimes Enforcement Network of the US Department of the Treasury\" class=\"old_tooltip\">FinCEN<\/span> was investigating cryptocurrency transactions totaling $165 million, allegedly linked to the group. However, experts deemed this figure inflated. Chainalysis analysts indicated that the amount erroneously included third-party funds that passed through various payment services interacting with criminals.
