Heights from 50 cm to 200 cm are allowed, with a maximum hip-to-foot distance of 45 cm.<\/p>\n<p>Both remotely controlled and fully autonomous humanoids were permitted in the half marathon. Batteries could be changed during the race, and the winner Tiangong did so three times.<\/p>\n<blockquote class=\"wp-block-quote is-layout-flow wp-block-quote-is-layout-flow\">\n<p>\u201cThe robots perform very well, very steadily&#8230; I feel like I am witnessing the evolution of bots and artificial intelligence,\u201d commented one spectator, He Xishu, who works in the AI field.<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n<p>Tiangong Ultra from the Beijing Innovation Centre for Humanoid Robotics was the first mechanical athlete to cross the finish line, clocking in at two hours and 40 minutes. Some encountered difficulties at the very start. One robot fell at the beginning and lay for several minutes.
