In the previous review on February 11, these targets were lower\u2014$300,000, $710,000, and $1.5 million, respectively.<\/p>\n<p>The expected average annual growth rates are 32%, 53%, and 72%.<\/p>\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-full\"><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/forklog.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/1-1538.webp\" alt=\"1-1538\" class=\"wp-image-257518\"\/><figcaption class=\"wp-element-caption\">Data: ARK Invest.<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n<p>The analysis is based on calculations of the total addressable market (<a href=\"https:\/\/en.wikipedia.org\/wiki\/Total_addressable_market\">TAM<\/a>), penetration rate, and the issuance of the first cryptocurrency.<\/p>\n<p>The most significant contribution to the optimistic forecast comes from institutional investors. According to the modeling, Bitcoin&#8217;s share in the total capitalization of the $200 trillion financial market will be 6.5%.<\/p>\n<p>In the bullish scenario, the strengthening of the first cryptocurrency as &#8220;digital gold&#8221; will lead to an increase to 60% of the asset&#8217;s total market value relative to that of precious metals.<\/p>\n<p>The third component is Bitcoin&#8217;s perception as a &#8220;safe haven&#8221; in emerging market economies. In this case, the first cryptocurrency could occupy up to 6% of the total portfolio value.<\/p>\n<p>To a lesser extent, the growth of digital gold will be driven by purchases as a reserve asset by states and corporations. Penetration levels in the bullish forecast are expected to be 7% and 10%, respectively.<\/p>\n<p>Bitcoin&#8217;s share in DeFi could grow to 60%, but due to a more modest TAM, the impact on quotes will be limited\u2014only 1.9% of the fair value in the optimistic scenario.<\/p>\n<p>At a rate of $2.4 million, the capitalization of the first cryptocurrency would reach $49.2 trillion, surpassing the combined GDP of the US and China at present. In this case, Bitcoin would overtake the main precious metal, whose total market value is $22.5 trillion.<\/p>\n<p>Back in April, former BitMEX CEO Arthur Hayes <a href=\"https:\/\/forklog.com\/en\/news\/arthur-hayes-on-how-bitcoin-could-reach-1m\">set $1 million<\/a> as a target for the digital gold rate. He sees the return of the <span data-descr=\"Federal Reserve System of the United States\" class=\"old_tooltip\">Fed<\/span> to economic stimulus as a driver.<\/p>\n<p>Earlier, Standard Chartered confirmed <a href=\"https:\/\/forklog.com\/en\/news\/standard-chartered-predicts-bitcoin-to-reach-500000\">Bitcoin&#8217;s target levels<\/a>\u2014$200,000 by the end of 2025 and $500,000 by the end of 2028.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>By the end of 2030, digital gold could soar to $2.4 million, driven by increased adoption by institutions and sovereign funds, according to ARK Invest.
