This prediction was made by Cardano founder Charles Hoskinson during an <span data-descr=\"ask me anything\" class=\"old_tooltip\">AMA<\/span> session.<\/p>\n<p><iframe loading=\"lazy\" width=\"560\" height=\"315\" src=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/embed\/9xf-RcWQLDI?si=bWF5ca45uMLfImoW\" title=\"YouTube video player\" frameborder=\"0\" allow=\"accelerometer; autoplay; clipboard-write; encrypted-media; gyroscope; picture-in-picture; web-share\" referrerpolicy=\"strict-origin-when-cross-origin\" allowfullscreen><\/iframe><\/p>\n<p>The developer noted that Ethereum&#8217;s current architecture cannot handle scaling demands and contains inherent issues.<\/p>\n<p>According to Hoskinson, the ecosystem&#8217;s governance model creates long-term vulnerabilities. Users are gradually shifting to alternative platforms, especially with the rise of L2 solutions, he emphasized.<\/p>\n<p>The developer argues that the approach to second-layer networks needs to be reconsidered, as they &#8220;parasitize&#8221; the main blockchain.<\/p>\n<p>He also pointed out flaws in the Ethereum Virtual Machine (EVM), the Proof-of-Stake algorithm, and the accounting model. In Hoskinson&#8217;s view, many problems could have been avoided if the Ethereum Foundation had heeded external advice.<\/p>\n<p>Despite this, he positively assessed Vitalik Buterin&#8217;s recent <a href=\"https:\/\/forklog.com\/en\/news\/vitalik-buterin-proposes-shifting-ethereums-architecture-to-risc-v\">proposal<\/a> to replace the EVM with a RISC-V architecture.<\/p>\n<p>However, Hoskinson stressed that technical improvements will not solve Ethereum&#8217;s deeper issues. In his opinion, if the accounting model is not revised, the blockchain will lag behind more adaptive networks.<\/p>\n<p>Back in September 2024, the Cardano founder <a href=\"https:\/\/forklog.com\/en\/news\/charles-hoskinson-criticizes-ethereums-governance-model\">called<\/a> Ethereum a Buterin dictatorship.
