U.S. Senator Jon Ossoff, a Democrat from Georgia, described Donald Trump’s announced dinner for TRUMP whales<\/a> as “exceeding any previous standards for impeachment.” This was reported by NBC News<\/a>.<\/p>\n

“When a sitting President of the United States sells access for what essentially amounts to direct payments to him, there is no doubt that this reaches the level of an impeachable<\/em> offense,” the senator stated.<\/em><\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n

The U.S. President’s gala dinner will invite 220 of the largest TRUMP holders. Among them, the 15 leaders by token amount in their wallets will gain access to an “exclusive reception” before the event and receive a “VIP tour of the White House.” The dinner is scheduled for May 22 and will take place at Trump’s private golf club in Washington.<\/p>\n

Ossoff noted that he fully supports the idea of impeachment, but considers it impossible with the current composition of the House of Representatives, which is responsible for such decisions.<\/p>\n

At the time of writing, TRUMP is trading at $14.95. Over the week, the price has risen by 76.7%, partly due to a significant surge following the gala dinner announcement.<\/p>\n
