Instead, the technology will be used to create features that &#8220;remove technical barriers.&#8221; This will allow individuals to &#8220;spend their precious time on what they want to achieve, rather than on finding a way to solve a problem.&#8221;<\/p>\n<p>Investments will be directed towards specific areas:<\/p>\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>automation of moderators&#8217; workflows;<\/li>\n<li>enhancing information accessibility and saving time;<\/li>\n<li>scaling the process of attracting new volunteers;<\/li>\n<li>automating translation and adapting local topics.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>The Wikimedia Foundation intends to prioritize transparency and open-source artificial intelligence.<\/p>\n<blockquote class=\"wp-block-quote is-layout-flow wp-block-quote-is-layout-flow\">\n<p>&#8220;Providing free access to knowledge for anyone on the planet is Wikipedia&#8217;s mission, whose importance has only increased with the advent of generative AI. This is why the resource is at the core of every learning model.
