Uniswap employed it in the protocol launched in November 2018.<\/p>\n<blockquote class=\"wp-block-quote is-layout-flow wp-block-quote-is-layout-flow\">\n<p><em>\u201cBprotocol Foundation and LocalCoin demand compensation for Uniswap Labs&#8217; unlicensed use of Bancor&#8217;s patented technology and for inducing Uniswap Foundation to infringe,\u201d<\/em> the document states.<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n<p>According to <a href=\"https:\/\/dune.com\/hagaetc\/dex-metrics\">Dune Analytics<\/a>, Bancor&#8217;s market share in the DEX space is 0.005% compared to Uniswap&#8217;s 40.6%. Over the past seven days, Bancor&#8217;s turnover reached $3.69 million, while Uniswap&#8217;s was $29.41 billion.<\/p>\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-full\"><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/forklog.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/1-1570.webp\" alt=\"1-1570\" class=\"wp-image-259079\"\/><figcaption class=\"wp-element-caption\">Data: Dune Analytics.<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n<blockquote class=\"wp-block-quote is-layout-flow wp-block-quote-is-layout-flow\">\n<p><em>\u201cIf companies like Uniswap are allowed to operate unchecked, it will hinder innovation across the industry to the detriment of all DeFi players,\u201d<\/em> noted Bancor.<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n<p>In May, Uniswap <a href=\"https:\/\/forklog.com\/en\/news\/uniswap-integrates-sonys-soneium-network\">added<\/a> support for the L2 solution Soneium from Sony&#8217;s blockchain division.<\/p>\n<p>In March, the DEX community <a href=\"https:\/\/forklog.com\/en\/news\/uniswap-foundation-secures-approval-for-172-million-funding\">voted<\/a> on two governance proposals to fund new Uniswap Foundation funds with approximately $172 million in UNI.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>The developers of the decentralized exchange (DEX) Bancor have filed a lawsuit against competitor Uniswap, seeking damages for the alleged infringement of its patent.
