The company will provide AI-based tools to the department.<\/p>\n<p>According to the statement, OpenAI will develop prototypes of advanced AI solutions. These are intended to address &#8220;critical national security tasks&#8221; in both military and corporate sectors.<\/p>\n<p>The work will be conducted primarily in Washington, D.C., and its surroundings. The project is expected to be completed by July 2026.<\/p>\n<p>This is not the only significant technology contract for the department. The <span data-descr=\"Air Force\" class=\"old_tooltip\">U.S. Air Force<\/span> has allocated $2.18 billion to Borsight for avionics replacement in T-6A training aircraft and simulators. The program is planned to run until 2034.<\/p>\n<p>The <span data-descr=\"Navy\" class=\"old_tooltip\">U.S. Navy<\/span> is also focusing on innovation.
