In 15 years, we will have one trillion agents,&#8221; said the executive.<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n<p>AI agents are autonomous programs capable of interacting with other machines without human intervention. Some experts believe they will form the foundation of the future digital economy on the blockchain.<\/p>\n<blockquote class=\"wp-block-quote is-layout-flow wp-block-quote-is-layout-flow\">\n<p>&#8220;I don&#8217;t think JPMorgan will open a bank account for any AI agent. Therefore, they will use stablecoins and Bitcoin for transactions,&#8221; Ardoino noted.<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n<p>In May, Coinbase <a href=\"https:\/\/forklog.com\/en\/news\/coinbase-unveils-payment-technology-for-ai-agents\">introduced<\/a> the x402 online payment tool. It is designed for transferring &#8220;stablecoins&#8221; via standard internet protocols and enables AI agents to conduct autonomous transactions.<\/p>\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>BCI \u2014 A New Development<\/strong><\/h2>\n<p>In May 2024, Tether acquired a controlling stake in brain-computer interface (<span data-descr=\"Brain-Computer Interface \u2014 a technology that provides direct communication between the human brain and an external device, such as a computer, exoskeleton, prosthesis, or neural network\" class=\"old_tooltip\">BCI<\/span>) manufacturer Blackrock Neurotech for $200 million.<\/p>\n<p><script async src=\"https:\/\/telegram.org\/js\/telegram-widget.js?22\" data-telegram-post=\"forklogAI\/4788\" data-width=\"100%\"><\/script><\/p>\n<p>The project is one of Ardoino&#8217;s favorites. According to him, it has already surpassed Neuralink, Elon Musk&#8217;s neurotechnology company developing interfaces for direct brain connections.<\/p>\n<p><iframe loading=\"lazy\" width=\"560\" height=\"315\" src=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/embed\/OwM5_REGf1c?si=cfYgTfHoFKB8K5ix\" title=\"YouTube video player\" frameborder=\"0\" allow=\"accelerometer; autoplay; clipboard-write; encrypted-media; gyroscope; picture-in-picture; web-share\" referrerpolicy=\"strict-origin-when-cross-origin\" allowfullscreen><\/iframe><\/p>\n<p>Patients using Blackrock Neurotech&#8217;s technology have been able to control robotic arms, wheelchairs, send messages, browse web pages, and even drive a car. All actions were performed through the power of thought, Tether noted during the investment announcement.<\/p>\n<blockquote class=\"wp-block-quote is-layout-flow wp-block-quote-is-layout-flow\">\n<p>&#8220;They already have more than 40 patients. The next iteration of the brain chip is just madness,&#8221; Ardoino remarked.<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n<p>He stated his intention to create an &#8220;open brain operating system.&#8221;<\/p>\n<blockquote class=\"wp-block-quote is-layout-flow wp-block-quote-is-layout-flow\">\n<p>&#8220;I believe that in the future, in 15\u201330 years, it will become the next smartphone. Perhaps we still have time to create such open-source technology. If I have to install the system myself, I don&#8217;t want to be under the control of some [tech corporation]. I&#8217;m paranoid, so I just want to make sure everyone plays on equal terms,&#8221; emphasized the Tether CEO.<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>Tether as a Miner<\/strong><\/h2>\n<p>The head of the USDT issuer <a href=\"https:\/\/forklog.com\/en\/news\/tethers-paolo-ardoino-predicts-leadership-in-bitcoin-mining\">stated<\/a> that the company could become the largest Bitcoin miner by the end of 2025.<\/p>\n<p>He noted that the company&#8217;s goal is not profit extraction but the protection of its assets.
