Anonymous sources suggested that Changpeng Zhao (CZ) is attempting to <a href=\"https:\/\/forklog.com\/en\/news\/binance-founder-seeks-pardon-from-trump\">secure a pardon<\/a> from U.S. President Donald Trump. This, they believe, would allow him to <a href=\"https:\/\/forklog.com\/en\/news\/binance-permanently-removes-changpeng-zhao-from-management\">return to leading<\/a> the exchange.<\/p>\n<p>Wallace identified Coinbase as the &#8220;anonymous source.&#8221; His tweet was reposted by the founder of Binance.<\/p>\n<blockquote class=\"wp-block-quote is-layout-flow wp-block-quote-is-layout-flow\">\n<p>&#8220;Binance is a leader among global crypto exchanges. A return to the U.S. could immediately reduce Coinbase&#8217;s market share and severely impact its profits. The most surprising aspect is that the platform targeted President Trump in an attempt to harm its competitor. This is an anti-American act!&#8221; wrote Wallace.<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n<p>Coinbase&#8217;s Chief Legal Officer Paul Grewal responded to the accusations and <a href=\"https:\/\/x.com\/iampaulgrewal\/status\/1944421229219221911\">called<\/a> Wallace&#8217;s claims &#8220;disinformation&#8221;:<\/p>\n<blockquote class=\"wp-block-quote is-layout-flow wp-block-quote-is-layout-flow\">\n<p>&#8220;We had no involvement with that article. We do not attack competitors and welcome any companies that share our goal of developing the crypto market.&#8221;<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n<p>In March, Bloomberg and <a href=\"https:\/\/forklog.com\/en\/news\/wsj-trumps-family-considered-acquiring-stake-in-binance-us\">WSJ<\/a> published articles claiming that Zhao is seeking a pardon amid discussions of business deals with the Trump family. CZ <a href=\"https:\/\/x.com\/cz_binance\/status\/1900194883891322948\">denied<\/a> the journalists&#8217; information. On July 11, he posted, calling the Bloomberg article a hit piece and suggested possible legal action.<\/p>\n<blockquote class=\"twitter-tweet\">\n<p lang=\"en\" dir=\"ltr\">4. FUD.
