This was announced by co-CEO Ted Sarandos during a quarterly earnings call, as reported by <a href=\"https:\/\/techcrunch.com\/2025\/07\/18\/netflix-starts-using-genai-in-its-shows-and-films\/\">TechCrunch<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>The platform has introduced its first &#8220;final footage created by generative AI&#8221; in the Argentine series El Eternauta.<\/p>\n<p>The internal production team, in collaboration with producers, employed AI to create a scene depicting a building collapse. This approach allowed the work to be completed ten times faster than with traditional visual effects tools, significantly reducing costs.<\/p>\n<blockquote class=\"wp-block-quote is-layout-flow wp-block-quote-is-layout-flow\">\n<p>\u201cWe remain convinced that AI represents an incredible opportunity to help creators make films and series not only cheaper but also better. There are AI-based tools that enhance creators. [\u2026] They are already experiencing benefits in pre-production stages: in scene planning and pre-visualization, and certainly in visual effects. Previously, only big-budget projects could afford complex <span data-descr=\"Visual Effects \u2014 visual effects created using computer graphics or other digital technologies to complement or alter an image in a film, series, advertisement, or video game\" class=\"old_tooltip\">VFX<\/span> like de-aging,\u201d he said.<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n<p>Co-CEO Greg Peters added that Netflix is also applying generative AI in other areas, including personalization and advertising.<\/p>\n<p>In May, the company <a href=\"https:\/\/forklog.com\/en\/news\/netflix-introduces-ai-powered-natural-language-search\">introduced<\/a> a new search feature powered by generative artificial intelligence from OpenAI.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Netflix has begun integrating artificial intelligence into its films and shows.
