Cyvers CEO Deddy Lavida believes the attack was orchestrated by the North Korean group Lazarus Group.<\/p>\n<p>The trading platform has promised to fully compensate the losses from its financial reserves.<\/p>\n<p>According to the investigation, hackers <a href=\"https:\/\/forklog.com\/en\/news\/coindcx-employee-implicated-in-44-million-crypto-theft\">gained<\/a> access to the company&#8217;s wallets through an employee&#8217;s laptop. The employee has been arrested by Indian police, who continue to investigate the incident.<\/p>\n<p>The second-largest loss was from the hack of GMX. On July 9, the decentralized crypto exchange <a href=\"https:\/\/forklog.com\/en\/news\/hacker-breaches-gmx-dex-for-42-million\">lost<\/a> $42 million. However, two days later, the perpetrator <a href=\"https:\/\/forklog.com\/en\/news\/hacker-returns-40-million-stolen-from-gmx\">returned<\/a> nearly all the stolen assets.<\/p>\n<p>On July 16, the trading platform BigONE was <a href=\"https:\/\/forklog.com\/en\/news\/bigone-exchange-hacked-for-27-million\">compromised<\/a>. Hackers infiltrated the product network and altered the server logic responsible for account management and risk control. The platform has pledged to cover all losses from its own funds.<\/p>\n<p>In July, <a href=\"https:\/\/forklog.com\/en\/news\/hackers-breach-woo-x-cryptocurrency-exchange-for-14-million\">WOO X<\/a> and Future Protocol also suffered losses of $12 million and $4.2 million, respectively.<\/p>\n<p>Earlier in 2025, losses from hacks and fraud in Web3 projects <a href=\"https:\/\/forklog.com\/en\/news\/a-grim-half-year-scams-and-hacks-cost-the-industry-3-1-billion\">amounted<\/a> to $3.1 billion in the first six months.
