However, most operations were &#8220;no-op&#8221;\u2014they did not perform real computations but merely tested the network&#8217;s throughput.<\/p>\n<p>Mumtaz <a href=\"https:\/\/x.com\/0xMert_\/status\/1957086432138493965\">emphasized<\/a> that even considering the test&#8217;s specifics, Solana is theoretically capable of handling 80,000-100,000 TPS for standard operations such as transfers, oracle updates, and similar activities.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>The actual throughput of the blockchain is lower. According to Solscan, the current TPS is around 3,700. Approximately two-thirds of transactions are validator consensus operations, which artificially inflate the figures.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>Estimates suggest Solana&#8217;s actual throughput is 1,004-1,050 transactions per second. This is 11% below the all-time high of $11.7 billion reached in January this year.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>At the time of writing, the native token of the ecosystem\u2014SOL\u2014is trading at $181.
