In the past week, the total volume of withdrawn coins exceeded 4571 BTC (~$51.5 million).<!--more--><\/p>\n<p>On August 3, Whale Alert <a href=\"https:\/\/t.co\/2n2Ml7uMG3?amp=1\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">\u0437\u0430\u043c\u0435\u0442\u0438\u043b<\/a> four transactions totaling 620 BTC (~$7 million at the time of writing). The bitcoins were moved to previously unknown addresses.<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter size-full wp-image-106451\" src=\"https:\/\/forklog.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/screenshot-twitter.com-2020.08.04-11_37_18.png\" alt=\"\u0412\u044b\u0432\u043e\u0434 \u043f\u043e\u0445\u0438\u0449\u0435\u043d\u043d\u044b\u0445 \u0441 Bitfinex \u0431\u0438\u0442\u043a\u043e\u0438\u043d\u043e\u0432 \u0443\u0447\u0430\u0441\u0442\u0438\u043b\u0441\u044f \u043d\u0430 \u0444\u043e\u043d\u0435 \u0447\u0435\u0442\u044b\u0440\u0435\u0445\u043b\u0435\u0442\u043d\u0435\u0439 \u0433\u043e\u0434\u043e\u0432\u0449\u0438\u043d\u044b \u0432\u0437\u043b\u043e\u043c\u0430\" width=\"708\" height=\"733\" srcset=\"https:\/\/forklog.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/screenshot-twitter.com-2020.08.04-11_37_18.png 708w, https:\/\/forklog.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/screenshot-twitter.com-2020.08.04-11_37_18-290x300.png 290w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 708px) 100vw, 708px\" \/><\/p>\n<p>On July 29 the attackers <a href=\"https:\/\/whale-alert.io\/transaction\/bitcoin\/8d49f7e2156da6b2dfb5e0e9e86c8d878c96a0dd4674c64dea37c748a37aac63\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">\u043f\u0435\u0440\u0435\u043c\u0435\u0441\u0442\u0438\u043b\u0438<\/a> 448 BTC (~$5 million) in a single transaction. A few days earlier, from wallets <a href=\"https:\/\/forklog.com\/en\/news\/27m-worth-of-bitfinex-hacked-bitcoins-moved-to-an-anonymous-address\">\u043f\u0440\u043e\u0432\u0435\u043b\u0438<\/a> 12 transactions totaling 3503 BTC (~$39.5 million). This sequence of transfers was among the largest since the exchange was hacked.<\/p>\n<p>Earlier, funds linked to the hack <a href=\"https:\/\/t.me\/forklog\/14173\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">\u043f\u0435\u0440\u0435\u043c\u0435\u0449\u0430\u043b\u0438\u0441\u044c<\/a> on July 24, when the attackers transferred 260.71 BTC and 271.2 BTC. Even earlier, the hackers carried out 20 transactions ranging from 15 to 33 BTC for a total of more than $4 million.<\/p>\n<p>On May 22, from another wallet where the marked bitcoins are kept, 28.39124 BTC ($258,000) were withdrawn. On June 2, from the address where another portion of the stolen funds was stored, another 77.644901 BTC (nearly $800,000) was transferred.<\/p>\n<p>The Bitfinex hack occurred on August 2, 2016.
