In the operation of the blockchain-based remote electronic voting system used in the State Duma by-elections, no ‘significant glitches’ were recorded. This was stated by the Minister of Digital Development, Communications and Mass Media Maksut Shadaev, according to TASS.<\/span><\/p>\n

According to him, no ‘systemic problems of electronic voting’ were detected.<\/span><\/p>\n

“We had, I think, a single complaint related to using an old browser. Everything else, as far as I understand, was normal”<\/span> Shadaev said.<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n

In the press service of Waves Enterprise, which developed<\/a> the system jointly with Rostelecom, ForkLog confirmed that there were no technological glitches.<\/span><\/p>\n

Rostelecom head Mikhail Oseyevsky also noted that the system had not been subjected to serious cyberattacks:<\/span><\/p>\n

“Our information security divisions worked all 60 hours, shift after shift. And no incidents of any kind occurred.”<\/span><\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n

Earlier, the blockchain system was used for the Duma by-elections in the Yaroslavl and Kursk regions.<\/span><\/p>\n

Shortly before the start of the elections, the system’s key algorithm source codes were posted<\/a> in open access, and its overview was published on Rostelecom’s blog on Habr.<\/span><\/p>\n
