It will study blockchain and new technologies, <a href=\"https:\/\/www.cia.gov\/offices-of-cia\/science-technology\/cia-labs.html\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">according to<\/a> a statement.<!--more--><\/p>\n<p>The development of \u201cscientific and technological solutions in support of the CIA mission\u201d will involve agency personnel, educational institutions, and the private sector. Details of the collaboration at CIA Labs have not been disclosed.<\/p>\n<p>Beyond blockchain, the division is interested in biotechnology, artificial intelligence, robotics, and augmented reality.<\/p>\n<blockquote>\n<p>\u201cCIA Labs will focus on improving and refining existing products, as well as creating new ways to solve scientific and technological problems,\u201d the statement notes.<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n<p>Earlier in September, two Swiss universities <a href=\"https:\/\/forklog.com\/en\/news\/swiss-association-formed-to-support-and-develop-blockchain\">created<\/a> the Blockchain Technology Association.
