The second-ever Uniswap community vote did not gather a sufficient number of votes. The question was about conducting a new airdrop of 5 million UNI tokens.<\/p>\n

For the initiative<\/a> from the Dharma lending project, almost 37.55 million tokens voted in favor, while 1.28 million were against. To approve the proposal, a quorum of 4% of token holders (40 million) is required.<\/p>\n

In an interview with CoinDesk<\/a>, Dharma co-founder Brendan Forster expressed regret at the outcome of the vote:<\/p>\n

“Although we are disappointed that Proposal No. 2 was not approved, we remain committed to participating in governance of the Uniswap ecosystem.”<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n

Earlier, the first-ever Uniswap vote on lowering the minimum threshold for submitting governance proposals also failed to reach<\/a> the quorum.<\/p>\n
