This will allow GPUs with 3 GB and 4 GB to resume mining Ethereum Classic.<\/p>\n<blockquote>\n<p>\u201cThanos will reduce the size of the DAG, which will lead to a more distributed and healthier mining ecosystem. The hash rate will increase. This will allow existing miners to continue mining and attract new ones,\u201d said James Wo, founder and CEO of Ethereum Classic Labs.<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n<p>It is also noted that the update will not adversely affect compatibility with Ethereum (ETH).<\/p>\n<p>In October, the Ethereum Classic Core and Ethereum Classic Labs teams implemented in the Mordor testnet the Exponential Subjective Scoring (MESS) solution.
