On <a href=\"https:\/\/www.grantthornton.co.nz\/cryptopia-limited\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"nofollow noopener noreferrer\">\u043f\u043e\u0441\u043b\u0435\u0434\u043d\u0435\u0435 \u0441\u043e\u043e\u0431\u0449\u0435\u043d\u0438\u0435<\/a> on Grant Thornton\u2019s site, the auditing firm handling Cryptopia\u2019s liquidation, is dated November 13.<\/p>\n<p>Some clients of the trading platform chose to wait for further confirmation from the auditor. Previously, the company had identified Grant Thornton\u2019s site, as well as the firm\u2019s and the exchange\u2019s Facebook and Twitter accounts, as reliable channels for disseminating information.<\/p>\n<blockquote class=\"twitter-tweet\" data-conversation=\"none\">\n<p dir=\"ltr\" lang=\"en\">Yes, also received the same email. Estimates vary, but attackers are believed to have stolen assets worth about $16 million at the time of the incident.<\/p>\n<p>In May 2019 Grant Thornton began the liquidation process.
