Interest is to be paid semi-annually, starting in 2021.<\/p>\n<p>Maturity date is December 15, 2025, unless the company redeems or converts the notes earlier. MicroStrategy expects to net $537.2 million after expenses for bitcoin investments in accordance with its reserve-asset policy.<\/p>\n<p>On December 5, MicroStrategy CEO Michael Saylor said <a href=\"https:\/\/forklog.com\/en\/news\/microstrategy-invests-another-50-million-in-bitcoin-at-just-over-19000-per-coin\">about the third investment<\/a> in digital gold. After purchasing <a href=\"https:\/\/forklog.com\/en\/news\/microstrategy-becomes-the-first-nasdaq-listed-company-to-invest-part-of-its-capital-in-bitcoin\">21,454 BTC<\/a> (~$250 million at the rate at the time of the deal) in August and <a href=\"https:\/\/forklog.com\/en\/news\/microstrategy-bets-another-175-million-on-bitcoin\">16,796 BTC<\/a> for $175 million in September, the company bought an additional 2,574 BTC for $50 million.<\/p>\n<p>Earlier, Citi analysts <a href=\"https:\/\/forklog.com\/en\/news\/microstrategy-shares-slump-after-citi-downgrade\">downgraded their ratings<\/a> on MicroStrategy Inc. shares, after which their price fell sharply.<\/p>\n<p>Follow ForkLog&#8217;s news on <a href=\\\"https:\/\/vk.com\/forklogcom\\\" target=\\\"_blank\\\" rel=\\\"nofollow noopener noreferrer\\\">VK<\/a>!<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>The data-analytics software provider MicroStrategy Inc. announced a new financing target for bitcoin investments.
