The Waves Enterprise blockchain platform and Ontology have signed a memorandum of understanding. The parties are interested in applying decentralized user identification via blockchain.<\/p>\n
The Ontology-developed Decentralized Identity Solution (DeID) will be used in electronic voting<\/a>, recently launched by Waves Enterprise.<\/p>\n According to the developers, authentication and identification of users are weaknesses in any electronic voting system, even if it is fully implemented on blockchain and uses advanced encryption.<\/p>\n “To launch the voting process in some types of legal entities, we need to integrate our e-voting platform with KYC service providers, because reliable user verification is an important requirement. The Ontology DeID can help achieve these goals,” said Artem Kalikhov, Product Director at Waves Enterprise.<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n Earlier in September, the Waves Enterprise and Rostelecom blockchain voting system was deployed in elections in Kursk and Yaroslavl regions.
