Reimbursements were funded from platform fees.<\/p>\n<p>In December 2017, an attacker withdrew more than 4,640 BTC from user wallets on the platform, worth about $60 million.<\/p>\n<p>NiceHash launched the compensation programme in February 2018 \u2014 affected users received a portion of the funds on a monthly basis.
