As he was leaving the town, a group of unknown individuals blocked his way.<\/span><\/p>\n<p>\\n<\/p>\n<blockquote>\n<p><span style=\\\"font-weight: 400;\\\">&#8220;The perpetrators pulled the man from the car and forcibly stuffed him into the trunk of a foreign-made vehicle, handcuffing him,&#8221; according to a police statement.<\/span><\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n<p>\\n<\/p>\n<p><span style=\\\"font-weight: 400;\\\">His wife was placed in another vehicle and taken away to an unknown destination. Later it emerged that she was being held in one of Ternopil&#8217;s hotels. No physical force was used against her.<\/span><\/p>\n<p>\\n<\/p>\n<p><span style=\\\"font-weight: 400;\\\">According to the victim, he was tortured all night and threatened with death if he did not pay $800 000. He reported the crime himself \u2014 the suspects did not find a second phone during the search.<\/span><\/p>\n<p>\\n<\/p>\n<p><span style=\\\"font-weight: 400;\\\">Law enforcement detained three of the seven suspects. Later, the organizer surrendered to the police of his own accord.
