On January 12, at 5 p.m., EMERCOM of Saint Petersburg received a report of a fire in an office building on Akademika Pavlova Street. According to witnesses, the blaze could have been caused by cryptocurrency mining equipment.<\/p>\n
An hour later, firefighters extinguished the fire on the building’s first floor.<\/p>\n
The incident left the premises scorched over an area of 30 square metres. There were no fatalities or injuries.<\/p>\n
Earlier in November, in one of Saint Petersburg’s residential buildings, a fire also occurred, caused by a mining farm.
