That is good for business, that is good for riders and for users of the food-delivery service.<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n<p>Khosrowshahi stressed that Uber is not considering holding a portion of its reserves in the first cryptocurrency.<\/p>\n<blockquote>\n<p>We intend to keep money safe. We are not involved in speculation,<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n<p>Uber has been a member of the Libra association since 2019 (now \u2014 <a href=\"https:\/\/forklog.com\/en\/news\/libra-association-renamed-to-diem-association\">Diem<\/a>).<\/p>\n<p>Earlier this year, Tesla&#8217;s Elon Musk <a href=\"https:\/\/forklog.com\/en\/news\/elon-musks-tesla-invested-1-5-billion-in-bitcoin-the-assets-price-rose-to-44800\">invested $1.5 billion in bitcoin<\/a>, which helped push the price of the first cryptocurrency to new highs.<\/p>\n<p>In late 2020, the British investment firm Ruffer Investment <a href=\"https:\/\/forklog.com\/en\/news\/ruffer-investment-confirms-bitcoin-purchase-worth-744-million\">purchased bitcoin worth \u00a3550 million (~$743.7 million)<\/a>.
