During this period, funds and the team will not receive their tokens, which will subsequently be distributed linearly over two and four years, as planned.<\/p>\n<p>Terms of distribution for active users will not change \u2014 they will continue to receive their tokens.<\/p>\n<p>The move is intended to strengthen the success of the token launch and the January distribution of OPIUM under its own liquidity mining model called drOpium.<\/p>\n<blockquote class=\"wp-embedded-content\" data-secret=\"Koug9t128x\">\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/forklog.com\/en\/news\/opium-protocol-launches-governance-token-opium\">Opium Protocol released the OPIUM governance token<\/a><\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n<p><iframe loading=\"lazy\" class=\"wp-embedded-content\" sandbox=\"allow-scripts\" security=\"restricted\" style=\"position: absolute; visibility: hidden;\" title=\"\u00abOpium Protocol \u0432\u044b\u043f\u0443\u0441\u0442\u0438\u043b \u0442\u043e\u043a\u0435\u043d \u0443\u043f\u0440\u0430\u0432\u043b\u0435\u043d\u0438\u044f OPIUM\u00bb \u2014 ForkLog\" src=\"https:\/\/forklog.com\/news\/opium-protocol-vypustil-token-upravleniya-opium\/embed#?secret=D8rF3gRe0B#?secret=Koug9t128x\" data-secret=\"Koug9t128x\" width=\"500\" height=\"282\" frameborder=\"0\" marginwidth=\"0\" marginheight=\"0\" scrolling=\"no\"><\/iframe><\/p>\n<p>drOPIUM is based on game theory and envisions greater rewards for long-term holders of OPIUM compared with those who wish to depart the community and sell their governance tokens.
