It was joined by venture firms a16z, Blockchain Capital, Lux and Indico.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><i><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">\u201cThe funding will enable us to give clients the ability to diversify their reserves and broaden the use cases for cryptocurrencies,\u201d<\/span><\/i><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">,<\/span> <span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">according to the press release.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Anchorage plans to deploy the investments toward the following goals:<\/span><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">support for new protocols at launch (examples: Celo, Filecoin and Oasis);<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">helping corporations use cryptocurrencies\u2014from treasury management to identifying opportunities to incorporate digital assets into their activities;<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">ensuring security and seamless crypto lending; Anchorage plans to scale and broaden its product line;<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">seeking partnerships across a broad spectrum of financial institutions;<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">lowering the entry to the DeFi space for institutional investors (the company provides custody for many tokens, participated in <a href=\"https:\/\/forklog.com\/en\/news\/bitwise-launches-defi-asset-index-fund\">launch of the DeFi index<\/a> by Bitwise and the creation of tokenized assets on Ethereum).<\/span><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Visa announced <a href=\"https:\/\/forklog.com\/en\/news\/visa-to-test-solution-to-integrate-bitcoin-payments-with-banks\">a pilot of a solution to integrate bitcoin payments by banks<\/a>.
