This contributes to the further development of the company\u2019s cryptocurrency-focused activities and to increasing revenues,\u201d said Dun Hu, chairman and CEO of Ebang.<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n<p>In June 2020, ahead of its Nasdaq IPO, the Chinese mining equipment maker announced its intention to begin mining cryptocurrencies.<\/p>\n<p>In February 2020, Ebang <a href=\"https:\/\/forklog.com\/en\/news\/ebang-to-mine-bitcoin-on-its-own-equipment\">announced the launch of a Bitcoin mining venture<\/a>. The company <a href=\"https:\/\/forklog.com\/en\/news\/ebang-raises-about-70-million-in-follow-on-stock-offering\">raised $70 million<\/a> through a follow-on public offering.
