They were detained during an operation in February of last year. The suspects have now been extradited to the United States.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">According to investigators, the hackers siphoned money from accounts and attempted to access confidential information of American citizens.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">The detained Ukrainian nationals were allegedly involved in laundering funds obtained illegally.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Authorities in the Czech Republic said the suspects used \u201cthe latest tools of cybercrime \u2014 encrypted communications, cryptocurrency payments, opening accounts in Czech banks under fictitious names, the darknet and other methods of anonymity.\u201d<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">The damage from the hackers\u2019 activities is estimated at $500,000.
