Partners from the investment firm DST Global also joined.<\/p>\n<p>The company said that over six months they increased the user base from 1.3 million to 2 million, and the team to 340 people. According to Bitpanda, the firm became Austria\u2019s first unicorn with a valuation of $1.2 billion.<\/p>\n<p>Earlier in September, Bitpanda <a href=\"https:\/\/forklog.com\/en\/news\/peter-thiels-fund-leads-52m-bitpanda-funding-round\">raised $52 million<\/a> in a Series A funding round.
