WiseMining has unveiled a boiler built around ASIC miners that heats water and mines bitcoins.<\/p>\n

The Sato boiler\u2019s intermediate heat carrier is a special dielectric cooling fluid that transfers heat from the ASIC miner to the water in the tank.<\/p>\n

In the cooling block, the liquid boils and evaporates, the steam rises into the tank\u2019s coil and condenses, transferring heat to the water. The condensate flows back into the cooling block.<\/p>\n

The boiler design allows hot swapping of the ASIC miner’s hash boards.<\/p>\n

Sato\u2019s maximum thermal output is only 5 kW, which is insufficient as a sole heat source. For this reason the developers have provided for connecting the boiler to the main heating system.<\/p>\n

Sales of the WiseMining Sato will begin in April 2021. It will cost $8,990.<\/p>\n

Mining equipment must be purchased separately. The boiler is compatible with Antminer S9, S17, S19, S19 Pro, S19+.<\/p>\n

In the future the company plans to introduce other household heaters based on ASIC miners.<\/p>\n

Earlier, bitcoin enthusiasts have long studied options for using heat from mining equipment. In March 2016, the Ukrainian company Hotmine introduced a miner with a room-heating function.<\/p>\n

In November 2017, entrepreneurs from Irkutsk tested a mobile home that is heated and supplied with hot water solely by a crypto boiler based on two mining farms.<\/p>\n

In March 2018, a Czech businessman used the heat from a mining farm to grow vegetables.<\/p>\n
