The round was led by venture firm Paradigm.<!--more--><\/p>\n<blockquote class=\"twitter-tweet\" data-lang=\"en\">\n<p dir=\"ltr\" lang=\"en\">Announcing our $75M Series B, led by <a href=\"https:\/\/twitter.com\/paradigm?ref_src=twsrc%5Etfw\">@paradigm<\/a>, with new investors (Three Arrows &#038; <a href=\"https:\/\/twitter.com\/AlamedaResearch?ref_src=twsrc%5Etfw\">@AlamedaResearch<\/a>), and old ones too (<a href=\"https:\/\/twitter.com\/PanteraCapital?ref_src=twsrc%5Etfw\">@PanteraCapital<\/a>, <a href=\"https:\/\/twitter.com\/sequoia?ref_src=twsrc%5Etfw\">@sequoia<\/a>, <a href=\"https:\/\/twitter.com\/foundersfund?ref_src=twsrc%5Etfw\">@foundersfund<\/a>, <a href=\"https:\/\/twitter.com\/DCVC?ref_src=twsrc%5Etfw\">@DCVC<\/a>, <a href=\"https:\/\/twitter.com\/Wing_VC?ref_src=twsrc%5Etfw\">@Wing_VC<\/a>). <\/p>\n<p>\u2014 StarkWare (@StarkWareLtd) <a href=\"https:\/\/twitter.com\/StarkWareLtd\/status\/1374754476414939146?ref_src=twsrc%5Etfw\">March 24, 2021<\/a><\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n<p><script async src=\"https:\/\/platform.twitter.com\/widgets.js\" charset=\"utf-8\"><\/script><\/p>\n<p>Existing investors Sequoia, Founders Fund of Peter Thiel, and Pantera Capital participated in the round, as well as Three Arrows and Alameda Research.<\/p>\n<p>StarkWare co-founders Eli Ben-Sasson and Uri Kolodny told The Block that the funding came amid a period of rapid growth for the company: in 2020 the headcount doubled, and demand for services is growing &#8220;across all meaningful metrics&#8221;.<\/p>\n<p>The firm is working on the phased deployment of its Layer-2 StarkNet protocol with its own implementation of ZK-Rollup technology called zkSTARKS.<\/p>\n<p>Earlier, it, together with the StarkEx engine <a href=\"https:\/\/forklog.com\/en\/news\/dydx-unveils-layer-2-protocol-for-perpetual-contract-trading\">used by the DEX dYdX for a new version of the platform<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>According to the co-founders, demand for scaling solutions using ZK-Rollups is especially high in the rapidly growing NFT market. They said they have deals with &#8216;some high-profile projects&#8217;, which they will announce later.<\/p>\n<blockquote>\n<p>\u00abThe advantage of ZK-Rollups is that they offer Ethereum-level security, far higher than that of sidechains.
