This was announced on Facebook by <a href=\\\"https:\/\/www.facebook.com\/sergiy.petukhov\/posts\/2898994357042851\\\" target=\\\"_blank\\\" rel=\\\"noreferrer noopener\\\" title=\\\"https:\/\/www.facebook.com\/sergiy.petukhov\/posts\/2898994357042851\\\">\u0441\u043e\u043e\u0431\u0449\u0438\u043b<\/a> the head of the Directorate for Mandatory Full Checks at \u041d\u0410\u041f\u041a, Sergei Petukhov.<\/p>\n<p>According to him, the NA\u041f\u041a will verify whether the declarants actually own the indicated amount of cryptocurrency, whether funds were transferred for their purchase, and whether the official can explain the origin of the money used to buy the digital currencies.<\/p>\n<p>This year NA\u041f\u041a has already begun 250 checks; in some of them the agency is examining the declared bitcoins.<\/p>\n<p>If the declaration contains inaccurate information about cryptocurrencies, officials may face administrative or criminal liability, Petukhov added.<\/p>\n<blockquote class=\\\"wp-block-quote is-layout-flow wp-block-quote-is-layout-flow\\\">\n<p>\u201cIf you have doubts about the accuracy of the declared data regarding crypto or the sufficiency of the declarant\u2019s funds to acquire it \u2014 file a report with NA\u041f\u041a outlining the facts; we can check such a declarant,\u201d he noted.<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n<p>Petukhov stressed that NA\u041f\u041a published <a href=\\\"https:\/\/wiki.nazk.gov.ua\/category\/deklaruvannya\/osoblyvosti-vidobrazhennya-vidomostej-pro-nematerialni-aktyvy\/?fbclid=IwAR3NE6lW8tDEF9RMynMuVjNOm8u0F3Rk1GlxBdnlDJfXauAVXoScYEc-lRQ\\\" target=\\\"_blank\\\" rel=\\\"noreferrer noopener\\\">\u0440\u0430\u0437\u044a\u044f\u0441\u043d\u0435\u043d\u0438\u044f<\/a> on cryptocurrency declarations at the start of the year.<\/p>\n<p>As reported by OpenDatabot\u2019s public registry monitoring service, Ukrainian officials <a href=\"https:\/\/forklog.com\/en\/news\/ukrainian-officials-disclosed-more-than-46351-btc\">declared a total of 46,351 BTC<\/a> in their 2020 declarations.<\/p>\n<p>Read ForkLog\u2019s bitcoin news in our <a href=\\\"\/\/telegram.me\/forklog\\\" target=\\\"\u201c_blank\u201d\\\" rel=\\\"\u201cnofollow\u201d noopener\\\">Telegram<\/a> \u2014 cryptocurrency news, prices and analysis.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>The National Agency for Prevention of Corruption (\u041d\u0410\u041f\u041a) of Ukraine will verify officials who declared cryptocurrencies in their 2020 declarations.
