{"id":40516,"date":"2021-04-10T15:04:10","date_gmt":"2021-04-10T12:04:10","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/forklog.com\/en\/?p=40516"},"modified":"2025-08-30T14:27:22","modified_gmt":"2025-08-30T11:27:22","slug":"opinion-the-sec-is-certain-to-approve-a-bitcoin-based-etf","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/forklog.com\/en\/opinion-the-sec-is-certain-to-approve-a-bitcoin-based-etf\/","title":{"rendered":"Opinion: The SEC is certain to approve a Bitcoin-based ETF"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>CEO Morgan Creek Mark Yusko, in an interview with MarketWatch, expressed firm confidence that the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) will eventually give the green light to bitcoin-based exchange-traded funds.<\/p>\n<p><!--more--><\/p>\n<blockquote class=\"wp-block-quote is-layout-flow wp-block-quote-is-layout-flow\">\n<p><em>This will eventually happen; that is our view on ETFs,<\/em> Yusko stressed.<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n<p>Among Morgan Creek&#8217;s partners is San Francisco-based Bitwise, which filed applications to launch ETFs in 2019 and <a href=\"https:\/\/forklog.com\/en\/news\/bitwise-files-new-sec-application-for-bitwise-crypto-innovators-etf\">in 2021<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>Similar filings were submitted to the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission by <a href=\"https:\/\/forklog.com\/en\/news\/vaneck-applies-to-launch-etf-providing-exposure-to-crypto-related-companies\">VanEck<\/a>, <a href=\"https:\/\/forklog.com\/en\/news\/wisdomtree-files-another-bitcoin-etf-application-in-the-united-states\">WisdomTree<\/a>, <a href=\"https:\/\/forklog.com\/en\/news\/nydig-files-to-launch-bitcoin-etf\">NYDIG<\/a>, <a href=\"https:\/\/forklog.com\/en\/news\/bitwise-files-new-sec-application-for-bitwise-crypto-innovators-etf\">Bitwise<\/a>, <a href=\"https:\/\/forklog.com\/en\/news\/sec-receives-new-bitcoin-etf-registration-filing\">Valkyrie Digital Assets<\/a>, <a href=\"https:\/\/forklog.com\/en\/news\/skybridge-capital-and-first-trust-advisors-file-to-launch-a-bitcoin-etf\">SkyBridge Capital and First Trust Advisors<\/a>.
