This was stated by the company&#8217;s chief executive, Walt Bettinger, according to <a href=\\\"https:\/\/www.reuters.com\/business\/schwab-says-needs-regulatory-clarity-crypto-before-any-offerings-2021-04-22\/\\\" target=\\\"_blank\\\" rel=\\\"noreferrer noopener nofollow\\\">Reuters<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p><!--more--><\/p>\n<p>According to him, Charles Schwab is looking at the digital assets market \\&#8221;very carefully\\&#8221; and \\&#8221;cautiously\\&#8221;.<\/p>\n<blockquote class=\\\"wp-block-quote is-layout-flow wp-block-quote-is-layout-flow\\\">\n<p>\\&#8221;We would like to see more regulatory clarity. And if that happens, Schwab will become a player in this space [\u2026] If the company enters the cryptocurrency market, it will be competitive, groundbreaking and client-focused,\\&#8221; Bettinger said.<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n<p>In 2019, Charles Schwab&#8217;s managing director of corporate communications Rob Farmer ruled out the possibility of direct cryptocurrency trading, calling them a \\&#8221;speculative instrument\\&#8221;.<\/p>\n<p>Subsequently, the financial giant acquired the Bitcoin-friendly broker TD Ameritrade.
