He argues that, if the deal goes through, the company would engage in unfair competition, reports <a href=\"https:\/\/www.telegram.co.uk\/technology\/2021\/05\/02\/nvidia-already-clearly-showing-will-compete-unfairly-says-arm\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener nofollow\">The Telegraph<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>Hauser was concerned about the proprietary interconnect technology linking Nvidia Grace to the CPU via NVLink, which allegedly delivers data transfer speeds up to 900 GB\/s. This is significantly higher than the performance of other computer buses. The technology is available exclusively for Nvidia products.<\/p>\n<p>He believes that the use of NVLink could tie Grace users to other Nvidia products.<\/p>\n<blockquote class=\"wp-block-quote is-layout-flow wp-block-quote-is-layout-flow\">\n<p>\u201cNvidia is intent on unfair competition with other ARM-based server manufacturers, such as Amazon and Fujitsu, rather than maintaining neutrality,\u201d he added.<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n<p>Nvidia replied that Hauser \u201cdoes not understand the purpose of Grace.\u201d<\/p>\n<blockquote class=\"wp-block-quote is-layout-flow wp-block-quote-is-layout-flow\">\n<p>\u201cWe have been working on Grace, using off-the-shelf technology available to all licensees, long before we agreed to acquire ARM,\u201d the company said.<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n<p>Representatives of Nvidia did not comment on the criticism of NVLink, which concerned Hauser.<\/p>\n<p>In September 2020 Nvidia announced the acquisition of ARM from SoftBank.
