The developers themselves said there was a hacker attack and stressed that there was no exit scam.<\/p>\n<p>Cryptocurrency analyst on Twitter under the handle CryptoWhale wrote that the project team had vanished with investors&#8217; funds. He said the amount involved was $32 million of user funds.<\/p>\n<blockquote class=\\\"twitter-tweet\\\">\n<p lang=\\\"en\\\" dir=\\\"ltr\\\">BREAKING: DeFi100 coin exit scams, and runs away with $32 million in investors funds. <\/p>\n<p>Website is now updated with the message \u201cWe scammed you guys, and you can\u2019t do shit about it\u201d <a href=\\\"https:\/\/t.co\/uyeYUDgbwo\\\">pic.twitter.com\/uyeYUDgbwo<\/a><\/p>\n<p>\u2014 Mr. Whale (@CryptoWhale) <a href=\\\"https:\/\/twitter.com\/CryptoWhale\/status\/1396100822245777408?ref_src=twsrc%5Etfw\\\">May 22, 2021<\/a><\/p><\/blockquote>\n<p> <script async src=\\\"https:\/\/platform.twitter.com\/widgets.js\\\" charset=\\\"utf-8\\\"><\/script>\\n\\n<\/p>\n<p>On the DeFi100 site appeared a message stating that investors had been deceived and that they &#8220;can\\&#8217;t do anything about it&#8221;.<\/p>\n<p>\\n\\n<\/p>\n<p>Initially the project did not comment on the rumours, but later said the website had been hacked. <\/p>\n<p>\\n\\n<\/p>\n<blockquote class=\\\"twitter-tweet\\\">\n<p lang=\\\"en\\\" dir=\\\"ltr\\\">The website was hacked yesterday and the message was shown by the hackers. It has been taken down.<\/p>\n<p>\u2014 DEFI100 (@DEFI100) <a href=\\\"https:\/\/twitter.com\/DEFI100\/status\/1396361647149633537?ref_src=twsrc%5Etfw\\\">May 23, 2021<\/a><\/p><\/blockquote>\n<p> <script async src=\\\"https:\/\/platform.twitter.com\/widgets.js\\\" charset=\\\"utf-8\\\"><\/script>\\n\\n<\/p>\n<p>Representatives of DeFi100 also described the information about a $32 million scam as \\&#8221;false and unfounded\\&#8221;. They added that \\&#8221;the project\\&#8217;s highest market capitalization was less than $2 million\\&#8221; and it never held investors&#8217; funds.<\/p>\n<p>\\n\\n<\/p>\n<blockquote class=\\\"wp-block-quote is-layout-flow wp-block-quote-is-layout-flow\\\">\n<p>\\&#8221;Yes, our investors have suffered huge losses, as the project did not implement its plans.
