Participants in the OneCoin cryptocurrency pyramid have spread false information about a partnership with Ukraine’s Ministry of Digital Transformation. The ministry has already denied any such agreements, local media report.<\/p>\n
During an online conference, representatives of OneCoin announced they had obtained the status of \u201cofficial provider of virtual asset services\u201d in Ukraine.<\/p>\n
As evidence, they presented a letter addressed to one of the company’s founders, Luka Miatton, allegedly signed by Deputy Minister Aleksei Vyskub.<\/p>\n

The ministry said the letter is a forgery.<\/p>\n
\n\u201cThe Government of Ukraine did not announce \u2018cooperation with OneLife\u2019 or the \u2018introduction of the OneCoin cryptocurrency.\u2019 The information contained in the letter does not correspond to reality,\u201d the statement said.<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n
The ministry has referred the matter to law enforcement authorities over the spread of false information.<\/p>\n
As reported, the damage from the OneCoin pyramid scheme is estimated at at least $4 billion. The whereabouts of the alleged mastermind Ruja Ignatova have been unknown since 2017.<\/p>\n
